"We are the one who is make our own destiny, because destiny is a choice..." I beg to disagree if you come to think of it, Destiny & Choice is different from one another, self contradictory isn't it? To understand the contradiction and to go deeper into the subject, the terms must be defined.

Destiny - defines as preordained a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power; if we believe in God, before our existence here in this world, He already planned what our lives would be. People will going to meet, things will going to acquire or events will going to happen. In this view there is no chance or choice left. Destiny is ultimately what you arrive at in your life.
Choice - needs availability of alternatives for any thought, speech and/ or action from which one can choose.

Chance - Dictionary defines it as, chance is something that happens unpredictably without discernable human intention or observable cause; it also means the probability of an indicated outcome in an uncertain situation. Ito ang pagkakataon na dumarating sa ating buhay at pangyayari na di mo inaasahan. It is also known as a random event.


So destiny is not a choice, it is all preordained as far as definition is concerned. Therefore destiny is not a matter of choice and chance, but it is a matter of faith. It is beyond our control because it is destined to be happen.

But of course God created us and "give the chance" to live in this world, Note: "Give the chance" as define it is "unpredictably" meaning hindi natin alam ang mangyayari sa buhay natin dito sa mundo.Tayo ang responsible sa ating buhay dito sa lupa. And we have the power to choose sa landas na ating tatahakin. And God served as our Guidance.

Example: Naligaw ka isang gubat, hindi mo alam kung saan ka patungo ang tamang daan para makaalis ka sa lugar na yun, madami kang susubukan na daan, pero meron isa lamang dun na path ang tama. Kung ihahalintulad natin ito sa ating buhay, dun papasok ang tinatawag nating choices, pero di natin masasabi ang pinili natin ay tama kase pewede tayong maligaw at mapariwara.

Pede pa nating sabihin na "Choice defines your destiny" Even if a thing seems to happen by chance, it merely means you are not aware of the choices of others involved in the event which led to your fortune or misfortune, no matter how small or insignificant they seem to be. We always have choices, and the consequences of them, which lead to other choices.

The place where the task is to be done, the doer, different instruments available, different methods of execution, natural forces or forces not under our control. Thus, it can be concluded that chance and choice both are involved in any action in this life, along with the doer, his methods and the environment. And I would like to standby my conclusion despite the saying that, “Destiny is matter a choice". I would say that, ‘what we meet in life is destiny; and how we meet it is our choice!
